2005 Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Schedule
All single game events at Old Cowtown Museum will begin with a 30 minute introduction to Baseball in the 1870's and Wichita at 12:30PM. The game will begin promptly at 1PM. A break after the 6th inning for 30 minutes will be set. The game will be completed after the break for a full 9 innings weather permitting.

April 7th, 2005 - 5PM - Opening Night Wichita Wranglers
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club and Old Cowtown Living History Museum appears and helps kick off a new season for the Wichita Wranglers. Come and cheer on the Wranglers on Opening Night.
April 9th & 10th, 2005 - 12:30PM - 4PM New Season "Reds vs. Bulls"
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Season begins in earnest with a weekend of games between the Cowtown "Red Stockings" and the Wichita "Bull Dozers". There will be one game per day beginning at 12:30PM and lasting until 4PM at the latest. A break in the game will occur after the 6th Inning so that you can visit with players and townspeople while the kids can play on the field. Experience the game like they did in Wichita during the Victorian Age of the 1870's. Make it a family fun day at Old Cowtown Living History Museum and watch some baseball while your there.
 
April 23rd, 2005 - All Day Kansas City Trip
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club travels to Kansas City for a game against the Shawnee Indian Mission Team. Take a trip with the club and support us against a rival team.
 
May 14th & 15th, 2005 - 10:30AM - 5 PM Fundraising Baseball Tournaments
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club and Old Cowtown Living History Museum are hosting a Fundraising event for the Museum. Five teams plus the Red Stockings will play a Round-Robin Tournament. Softball Teams, Baseball Teams, Company Teams, or Special Teams are invited to contact either Gary Lee at 755-3648 or Vance Davis at 755-2728 for details and entry fee information. The Baseball Rules of 1876 will be used for play.
 
June 11th & 12th, 2005 - 12:30PM - 4PM Little League Appreciation Days
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club and Old Cowtown Living History Museum are honoring the Little League's in Kansas for keeping the "spirit of family fun" and "fair play" alive. Register your team early for a spectacular day at Old Cowtown Museum. Experience the 1870's in all of it glory including playing Baseball just as they did in Early Wichita. The family can enjoy all of the events including watching their young players learn and play the Vintage Baseball game. The players will get to enjoy current Red Stocking and Bull Dozer players as they teach them aspects of better Baseball play. They'll also get a chance to play the Vintage Base Ball Clubs team of "little leaguers".
 
June 18th & 19th, 2005 - 12:30PM - 4PM Celebrity Games
  Old Cowtown Living History Museum is having their Celebrity Weekend and the Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club will host the "Celebrity Base Ball Game" on both Saturday and Sunday. Come and watch your local stars from Television, Radio, Print, Sports, Law, Medical or Corporations play each other or the Vintage Baseball Teams in a 7 inning game.
 
July 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 2005 - 12:30PM - 4PM Fourth of July Weekend Games
  Old Cowtown Living History Museum is hosting their Fourth Celebration and the Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club will host the Baseball skill games along with visitor games for those who would like to try playing for fun. Get involved with Adults against the Children game at the Farm. Relive the Victorian Age on the 4th of July Weekend at Old Cowtown Museum.
July 16th, 2005 - 12:30PM-4PM Red Stockings VS Colorado All Stars
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club will host the Colorado Territorial All Stars from Denver for a game at Old Cowtown Living History Museum. A second game against the Wichita Bull Dozers will take place later that afternoon. Come out and cheer on your team and let us show our visitors what Wichita & Old Cowtown Museum is really about.
 
July 23rd, 2005 - Colorado Trip
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club travels to Denver for a game against the Colorado Territorial All Stars. Take a trip with the club and support us against a rival team.
 
August 6th & 7th, 2005 - 10:00AM - 5PM Baseball Contest (Tournament)
  The Cowtown Vintage Baseball and Old Cowtown Living History Museum is hosting a Contest event for the Museum. Six teams including the Red Stockings and Bull Dozers will play a Round-Robin Tournament. August 28, 2005 - 1:00PM - Buffalo Soldiers - Lyons, KS
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club travels to Lyons, KS for a game against the Buffalo Soldiers.
 
September 10th & 11th, 2005 - St. Louis Trip (Small Tournament)
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club travels to St. Louis for a games against the St. Louis Perfecto's, St. Louis Union's, and Murphysboro Clarkes in a small tournament. Take a trip with the club and support us against a rival teams.
 
September 17th & 18th, 2005 - 12:30PM - 4PM Red Stockings VS Bull Dozers
  The "Red Stockings" featuring the Shockley Clan and the "Bull Dozers" with the Truman Clan leading the way will take the FEUD to the ball field. The losers of this contest will have to buy the winners drinks at the saloon after the match. Come and enjoy the action of a Baseball contest for the right to strut in Old Cowtown.
October 2, 2005 - 2:30PM - Delano Days Celebration - Wichita, KS
  The Bull Dozers and Red Stockings will play a game at the field behind Lawrence Dumont Stadium.
 
October 8th & 9th, 2005 - 12:30PM - 4PM Bull Dozers VS Red Stockings
  The "Bull Dozers" featuring the Truman Clan and the "Red Stockings" with the Shockley Clan leading the way has agreed to a rematch from last month. The contest will feature the losers having to wash the winner's horses in public view. Come and enjoy the action of a Baseball contest for the right to strut in Old Cowtown.
 
October 22nd, 2005 - 12:30PM - 4PM Old Cowtown Championship
  The "Red Stockings" and the "Bull Dozers" will face-off against each other one final time this year. The winner will be crowned the Champions of Old Cowtown Museum. A presentation will take place right after the game with individual awards and team awards at a Baseball Banquet. Details about the banquet, Awards Ceremony and Dance will be announced prior to this date.
