2008 Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Schedule
All games at Old Cowtown Museum will begin with an introduction to Baseball in the 1870's and Wichita. A break after the 6th inning for 30 minutes will be set. The game will be completed after the break for a full 9 innings weather permitting. Additional games and events will be added when scheduled.

April 19, 2008 - 9:00 AM - Saturday - Old Cowtown Museum
  Spring training and organizational meeting. There will be a meeting to elect officers, finalize the schedule and discuss any other base ball business with our annual practice and field cleaning afterwards.

May 9, 2008 - 6:00 PM - Friday - Wichita River Festival Parade
 
May 10, 2008 - 1:00 PM - Saturday - Old Cowtown Museum
  The Bull Dozers and Red Stockings make their 2008 Old Cowtown Museum debut. The teams will play one game as part of the museum's opening for the River Festival.
 
May 17, 2008 - 1:30 PM - Saturday - Old Cowtown Museum
  Cowtown's Grand Opening. The Bull Dozers and Red Stockings will try again to play a game at the museum if the weather is good.
 
May 24, 2008 - 1:00 PM - Saturday - Fort Larned - Larned, Kansas
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club will play a match game against the 1st Colorado Volunteer Infantry as part of the Fort's celebration of their Santa Fe Trail Day's event.
 
June 1, 2008 - 1:00 PM - Sunday - Cowtown Nine vs. El Dorado Broncos - El Dorado, Kansas
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club returns to El Dorado for another game against the Broncos played per the rules of 1860. The Butler County Historical Society is hosting the event.
 
June 6, 2008 - 6:00 PM - Friday - (Postponed) Old Cowtown Museum
  The Bull Dozers and Red Stockings play an evening game in support of the later hours at the museum this season.
 
June 21, 2008 - Game Time 11:00 AM - Saturday - The Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve
  A single game, with lunch after the game, at the Tall Grass National Prairie Preserve.
 
June 22 2008 - 5:00 PM - Sunday - Lawrence Dumont Stadium
  After the Wichita Wingnuts 2 PM game, the Bulldozers and Red Stockings will play a single game. Cowtown Vintage Base Ball, Old Cowtown Museum, and the Wichita WingNuts are promoting this event to collect new and used baseball equipment from the public to send to our military members serving overseas.
 
July 12, 2008 - 10:00 AM - Saturday - Dallas, Texas
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club travels to Texas to play match games against a team from Farmers Branch Historical Site and watch a Texas Rangers game. The museum web site is Famers Branch Historical Site.
 
August 9, 2008 - 10:00 AM - Saturday - Old Cowtown Museum
  CVBB Tournament. The St. Louis Unions, Farmers Branch Historical Site, and Hodgeman County teams will come to Old Cowtown to play the local teams.
 
August 17, 2008 - Game Time 6:00PM - Sunday - College Hill Park, Wichita Kansas
  A single game between the Red Stockings and the Bull Dozers. The Cowtown Base Ball Club will help celebrate the College Hill Neighborhood Association's Family Fun Days Event.
 
September 7, 2008 - 1:30 PM - Sunday - Old Cowtown Museum
  A single game between the Red Stockings and the Bull Dozers.
 
September 20, 2008 - 1:00 PM - Saturday - John Brown Museum in Osawatomie, KS
  The Cowtown Vintage Base Ball Club travels to Osawatomie to participate in a game against a local nine.
 
October 4 & 5, 2008 - 1:30 PM - Saturday & Sunday - Old Fashioned County Fair at Old Cowtown Museum
  A single game each day between the Red Stockings and the Bull Dozers.
 
October 11, 2008 - 10:00 AM - Saturday - Lawrence Dumont Stadium
  As part of the ALS Walk, the Red Stockings and the Bull Dozers will play a game at Lawrence Dumont Stadium to support the event.
 
October 19, 2008 - 1:30 PM - Sunday - Old Cowtown Championship Game
  The Red Stockings and the Bull Dozers will face-off for a final game of the year. The winner will be crowned the Champions of Old Cowtown Museum. A presentation will take place right after the game with individual awards and team awards at a Baseball Banquet.
